Trust & Safety Guidelines
Platform-wide safety protocols for premium subscription sharing, notes exchanges, and financial settlements
1. Why We Reject Government ID Collections
AssetPay is a safe peer-to-peer exchange platform tailored for students. We believe that requesting Aadhaar cards or PAN cards creates massive digital tracking risks and high signup friction. Under our core principles, we reject physical document KYC, protecting you from corporate data leaks and identity theft. Account verification is handled purely via mobile OTPs and UPI bank bindings, maintaining a light and secure framework.
2. Trust & Escrow Guarantee (Financial Protection)
To eliminate peer-to-peer transaction risks, the Platform employs a secure **Wallet Escrow System**:
- Locked Funds: When you buy a shared subscription seat or an academic notes file, your funds do not immediately go to the seller. Instead, they are held in a secure escrow ledger.
- Delivery Confirmations: Funds are released to the host/uploader wallet only after the buyer confirms active delivery or the transaction protection period expires.
- Arbitration Disputes: If a shared premium credential stops working or an uploaded document is corrupted, the buyer can file a dispute. AssetPay’s support staff inspects the credentials/files and issues prompt refunds, protecting buyers from financial losses.
3. Safety Protocols for P2P Subscription Sharing
Premium subscription sharing (Netflix, ChatGPT Plus, Canva, OTTs) is built on mutual respect and security:
- Account Security: Hosts must not change the master subscription logins or passwords while a seat share is active.
- UPI bindings: Hosts must bind their active UPI account for payout settlements. This ensures that in the event of persistent fraud, the platform can block payouts and blacklist fraudulent wallets, keeping the marketplace secure.
4. Academic Honor Code & Legal Safe Harbors
We respect academic honesty and intellectual property. Sharing proprietary textbooks, official institution exam question sheets, or confidential university materials is strictly banned.
AssetPay acts strictly as a safe-harbor Intermediary under Section 79 of the IT Act. The uploading student is exclusively liable for their notes and files. If an institutional copyright claim is submitted, the infringing notes are disabled within 24 hours of report validation.
